Environmental Solution

Context

The project is for an environmental solution provider who treats waste for customers and partners in oil and gas industry. To enhanced co-ordination and communication with producers and truckers via timely availability of latest data and use Facility effectively.
The project was at Requirement stage and a new contract to be signed for implementation after completion of requirements phase.

Achievement

Requirements documented and wire frame done by consultants using excel was not able to convert client as they were not able to visualize the project. A quick working prototype was in need. I took the challenge and completed the wire frames in a weeks time using pencil tool.

Won a new customer for the account with a detailed wire frame in a quick span of time.

Problem Statement

• No visibility on facility availability to Truckers and Producers, in-turn lead to business loss.
• No integrated system to utilize the facility efficiently which lead to loss of effort and time.

My Role

My role in this project demanded to understand the requirements and the user really quick. To take smart decision to get working wire frame for all important functionalities and gain Client’s confidence on Infosys to sign next contract.

Field Study [SME Interview]

Due to shortage of time I scheduled SME interviews to understand the user’s mental modal. Below are the few highlights from research.

• Truckers and the Truck Drivers has limited computer knowledge
• Need for real time tracking system to help drivers for optimal use of facility
• This application to be merged with its portal in future
